Jenny Bienemann and her musical friends will bring a night of poetry and music to The Venue next month

By ERIC SCHELKOPF

Chicagoland poet, author and singer-songwriter Jenny Bienemann knows the power of poetry and music.

On Feb. 7, more than 20 musicians will join her on stage at The Venue in Aurora to debut new songs inspired by her original haiku poems. Haiku is a type of short form poetry that originated in Japan.

The night will also celebrate the release of her newest tiny book, "The Come Back." A number of well-known Chicagoland musicians will perform at the show, including Downtown Charlie Brown, Demi Clara, Noah Gabriel, Dave Ramont, Pete Jive and Naomi Ashley.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available at themusicvenue.org. The Venue is located at 21 S. Broadway Ave. (Route 25) in downtown Aurora.

Singer-songwriter Noah Gabriel performs May 10, 2024 at The Venue in Aurora as part of Haiku Milieu. Gabriel and other musicians performed songs based on the original haiku poems of Chicagoland poet, author, and singer songwriter Jenny Bienemann.

I expect the evening will generate the same type of excitement as it did at her Haiku Milieu concert at The Venue in May 2024.

Singer-songwriter Naomi Ashley performs May 10, 2024 at The Venue in Aurora as part of Haiku Milieu. Ashley and other musicians performed songs based on the original haiku poems of Chicagoland poet, author, and singer songwriter Jenny Bienemann.

Singer-songwriter Caitlin Arquines performs May 10, 2024 at The Venue in Aurora as part of Haiku Milieu. Arquines and other musicians performed songs based on the original haiku poems of Chicagoland poet, author, and singer songwriter Jenny Bienemann.
