Chicago band Plain White T's returning to area in April in support of new album

For those who missed Plain White T's previous show in Chicago, you're in luck - the Chicago band will return to the area on April 16 when it performs at the Lake Forest College Ice Rink.

The group in April will embark on the second leg of its tour celebrating the release of its new album "Wonders of the Younger," which hit number 1 on the iTunes Rock Album chart.

The band introduced the album with lead single "Rhythm of Love," a top ten hit which has already sold more than 800,000 digital copies and is the band’s fastest selling single to date.

The companion video, directed by Mike Venezia, is currently spinning on MTV. You can watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWiwuiT58Yc

Plain White T’s frontman Tom Higgenson describes the Ian Kirkpatrick-produced album as a collection of songs designed to evoke the feeling of awe and the yearning for adventure remembered from youth.

“It’s still very much a Plain White T’s album," Higgenson said. "The songs are sincere and melodic, no matter what the subject matter. We want to create an experience that takes our fans to an unexpected place while still giving them songs to sing along to.”
